July 8, 1841 - August 12, 1910
He enlisted September 12, 1861, at Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was admitted to the 1st Mississippi CSA Hospital, Jackson, Mississippi on April 6, 1862, reason not stated. He returned to duty April 15, 1862. On March 30, 1863, he was captured at Somerset, Kentucky. His name appeared on the Roll of POWs at the Military Prison, Louisville, Kentucky. The roll indicated he was sent to Baltimore, Maryland on April 13, 1863 for exchange at City Point, Virginia. His name appeared on the Roll of POWs at Ft McHenry, Maryland. On or about July 30, 1863, he was captured at Big Hill, Kentucky. On August 3, 1863, his name appeared on a Roll of POWs at the Military Prison, Louisville, Kentucky. On August 6, 1863, he was sent to Camp Chase, Ohio as a POW. On February 28, 1864, he was transferred to Ft Delaware, Delaware, arriving on March 4, 1864. On March 7, 1865, he was exchanged at City Point, Virginia. His name appeared on a Roll of POWs after Confederate forces surrendered in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 26, 1865. He was paroled at Alexandria, Louisiana on June 10, 1865.
