Wilson C. Evans "Bill" was born on April 3, 1929 in Winnfield, LA to Ottie Lee & Neal D. Evans. He was the second child of seven, sharing the house with four sisters and two brothers. He was a people person and never met a stranger. He went into the Navy in 1946 and retired in 1970. He served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. While in the Navy he sailed all over the world and was a barber. Upon retiring from the Navy he achieved the rank of a "Navy Chief" and received numerous service medals. He continued to be a barber working at a San Diego, CA barber shop before transferring to Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, LA. He worked as a barber for 20 plus years before retiring from full time work. After a short time off he returned to work part time at Southfield Barber Shop.

Kathleen B. Pangburn Evans, "Kathy", was born on June 27, 1934 in Newton, NH to Mildred & John Pangburn. She was their first born and shared the house with one brother and one sister. She was a big animal lover and a very artistic and loving woman. She worked in childcare most of her young life.

These two lives danced their way into each others arms and stayed side by side through tough and good times. Through military life and a few years of married life they welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the world on March 14, 1965, naming her Elena Denise. They put her through school and college. Elena, at the age of 22, gave birth to their first grand-daughter Ashley Kathleen on July 28, 1985. They moved back to Louisiana in 1991 and lived in Keithville until their walk with the Lord. On Oct 9, 1996 they were blessed with their second grand-daughter, Elizabeth Amy. On October 28, 2006 Ashley blessed them with their first great-grand-daughter, Avary Hattie and March 7, 2013 Ashley blessed them with their first great-grandson, Jase Paul.

They celebrated their 60th Anniversary March 5, 2014. They enjoyed every bit of life with their loved ones and most of all with each other. They said people make it as long as we have because when something is broken you fix it & never throw it away. Bill was a man of honor, patience, honesty and well loved by his community. He was an amazing and loving husband, dad, papa and friend. He was always concerned for the well being of his family, neighbors and friends. Kathy was a quiet, loving, honest family woman who loved her animals and being a stay at home wife, mother and mam'mam. She was very artistic and it shows through her dolls and crafts she has made. She was the sports updater and watcher of the family. These two people who love with all their hearts were so family oriented are and will be truly missed by a lot of family and friends. We love you to the moon and back.
