Buddy was born May 28, 1952 in Shreveport, LA and lived all of his life in Mooringsport where he was a member of Mooringsport Baptist Church. After a lifetime in the oilfield, Buddy retired from Key Energy as District Manager. He was an avid fisherman with a special love for crappie fishing; especially on Caddo Lake and Lake O' the Pines. He was a member of Crappie Masters and Cabela's Master Walleye Circuit. He loved to host family fish fries and cook his crappie catch of the day. Buddy was a true family man in every sense of the word … his family was his life and he loved each of them dearly.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Jimmie Greer, his two brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Amelia Bea Terry of Mooringsport; his two children, William "Gene" Terry and Tara Terry, both of Mooringsport; his two sisters, Nancy Lundy of Mooringsport and Betsy Flores of Shreveport; his four grandchildren, Adam Terry, Adrian Terry, Megan Patterson, and Lilly Bug; his two great-grandchildren, Wesley Patterson and Talan Terry; and his special fishing buddies and best friends, Russell and James.

Honoring Buddy as pallbearers will be Eddie McFarland, Russell Shelton, Bobby Lowry, David Wilson, James Hindsman, and Terry Lundy. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Patterson, Ronnie Terry and Skyler Oberley.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hargon, Dr. Jackson, Dr. Brouillette, Willis-Knighton Cancer Center, Willis-Knighton North, CornerStone, and St. Joseph Hospice. Each of you will hold a special place in our hearts.
