Darla Kay Terry, 53 of Vivian, LA passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 5 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA officiated by Rev. Eddie Briery. Burial will follow at Vivian Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 4 pm until service time on Tuesday.

Darla was born July 28, 1963 in Shreveport, LA to Donald Powers and Annie Loucille Hartzo Powers, and she lived in Vivian all of her life. She was a member of Monterey Country Club where she ran the pro shop. Darla loved to play golf, she was a fan of NASCAR with her favorite driver being Jimmie Johnson #48. She loved to shop, and her favorite store was Ross. Darla enjoyed dancing and loved to go 2 stepping with Randy.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sheryl Powers, and her best friend Jo Ellen Pearson. She is survived by her husband Randy of Vivian, her 3 children; Gena Ruso and husband Dustin of Carthage, TX, Georgia Johnson and partner Tanya Gray of Haughton, LA, and “Jimmy” James Martin Terry of Harleton, TX, her sister Connie Matthews Parker of Muldrow, OK, her 5 grandchildren, Alyssa Ruso, Haileigh Ruso, Jaxon Ruso, Kayden Crawford, and Rheid Terry.

Pallbearers will be Dale McInnis, Cody Patrick, Barron Barr, Stevie Barr, Rick Barr, and Brian Rachal. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Hammock and Putt Goss.
