January 11, 1943 - October 23, 2019
Mary Jane Allen, 76, of Mooringsport, La passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, La officiated by Rev. Eric Cunningham and dear friend Barbara Douget. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Monday, October 28 at the funeral home.
Mary Jane was born January 11, 1943 in Vivian, La to H.V. "Red" Little and Nellie Jane Kessel Little. She moved back to this area in 1995 moving from Cottondale, Alabama. She was a member of Pine Island Baptist Church, and a member of the SOC club of Oil City. She loved going to the movies on a Saturday night, going out to eat, playing cards, and thrift shopping. She was a caring and giving person who would sacrifice herself for others. She loved animals and animals loved her too. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Bobby Allen, and her brothers Clarence "Goose" Little and Larry Little. She is survived by her 3 children; Penny Livingood of Mooringsport, Billy Allen Jr. of Mooringsport, and Sherry Collins of Vivian, La, her sister Beverly Womack of Mooringsport, her uncle Virgil Kessel of Mooringsport, her 5 grandchildren; Crystal, Chris, Justin, Jacob, and Jessica, and her 12 great grandchildren. She loved her dear friends Bob Little, Sharon Teer and Don Davis.
Pallbearers will be Chris Collins, Justin Collins, Jason Jetton, Jeremy Clark, Bob Little, and J.C. Meadows. Honorary pallbearers are Rem Clark and Jackson Jetton.
