SHREVEPORT, LA-Services celebrating the life of Travis W. Foster will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jay Foster. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Mooringsport, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Friday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home at 1815 Marshall Street in Shreveport, LA.
Travis was born on May 29, 1931 in Emerson Arkansas. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 18, 2013 in Shreveport, LA at the age of 82. Travis was preceded in death by his parents Corbin and Venera Foster and his daughter, Phyllis Foster. Left to cherish his precious memory is his wife, Mrs. Gloria Foster of Shreveport, LA; sons, Monte Foster of Shreveport, LA, Jay Foster of Mooringsport, LA, and Brian Foster and wife Amanda of Corona, CA; daughters, Tanya Jackson and husband Larry of Knoxville, TN, Pamela Foster of Shreveport, LA and Sheila Barmore and husband Randy of Mooringsport, LA; sister, Golda Foster of Magnolia, AR; brothers, Wilmer Foster of Emmerson, AR, and Pat Foster and wife Sammie of Fayetteville, AR. Travis also has nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Travis's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Nurse Care of Shreveport for their loving care and compassion for him during his illness.
Honoring Travis as pallbearers will be; James Barmore, Jeff Barmore, Robbie Bowman, Larry Jackson, Chase Patterson and Chad Smith.
