Mrs. Carolyn Rambin Sandifer, 65, left this earth on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, and stepped into Heaven to live forever with her Lord and Savior. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016, in the Chapel of Osborn. Officiating will be her son, Rev. Danny Sandifer, Jr. of Calvary Baptist Church of Brownsboro, TX. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery-West.
Mrs. Sandifer was a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport, born on October 9, 1950. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bossier City. She was a graduate of Fair Park High School in 1968 and received her LPN from Vo Tech. Mrs. Sandifer enjoyed vacations and loved spending time with her family and her one and only granddaughter, Sarah. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother (Gaga). She loved the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. More than anything, she loved and served Jesus. She loved others and enjoyed giving to many types of ministry.
Mrs. Sandifer was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Stayton Rambin and father, Clenton Hughes Rambin, Sr. She is survived by her husband whom she shared 43 loving years of marriage, Danny Sandifer, Sr.; daughter, Lisa Sandifer; son, Danny Sandifer, Jr. and wife, Janet; granddaughter, Sarah; brother, Clenton Rambin, Jr. and wife Diane; very special aunt, Jean Young; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Rusty King, Randall King, Dewayne Sandifer, Jr., Justin Alkire, D'wayne Hull, Pat Dooly and Dan Dooly.
Honorary pallbearers will be Grasyn Hull, James Cameron, Dewayne Sandifer, Sr., Ray Allen and Steve Dooly.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Leslie Sewell, Diane Hardy and Willis-Knighton Wound Care.
