Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Ronald James Rivoire, 85, who passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021 at 10:28 AM surrounded by his family and friends.
The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice for the amazing care they gave to Mr. Rivoire in the short week they had him.
Brother Francis Fontenot will conduct the service.
Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Rivoire, the son of the late Charles A. Rivoire Sr. and the former Eula May Guidry, was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a loving father, avid golfer, card and domino player, and a huge fan of the horse races. He was also a former quarterback for Lafayette High School and the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
He is survived by one daughter, Chrysta Rivoire Webley and husband Grant of Duson, Louisiana and 6 grandchildren: Caleb Joshua Snell, Dakota James Broussard, Hunter Michael Lanerie and wife Hope, Jacob W. Webley and wife Krissy, Montgomery K. Webley and Markiska K. Webley. He is also survived by three brothers: Richard Rivoire and wife Rosalind of Lafayette, Louisiana, Glen Rivoire and wife Mona, and Joseph Rivoire all of Duson, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Rivoire Sr., and Eula May Guidry Rivoir, his wife Rose. G. Rivoire, three brothers; Charles A. Rivoire Jr., Alvin A. Rivoire and Freddy W. Rivoire; three sisters, Marie Louise Redwine, Virginia R. Vincent and Corless Theresa Simon, and one granddaughter, McKenley Rose Webley.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 9:30 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Broussard, Hunter Lanerie, Jake Morton, Jonason Bourque, Trey Bearb and Robley Guilbeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Bearb and Grant Webley.
