November 25, 1883 - February 10, 1969
Mrs. Willie Ann Jackson, 85, of 921 N. Washington Ve., died Monday in a local hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Dubach, La., Nov. 25, 1883, the daughter of George and Sarah Foster Reed. Surviving are two sons, Roy Jackson, Las Vegas, Nev., and T. O. Jackson, El Dorado; four daughters, Mrs. Zula Fortune, Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Trebbie Edwards, Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Sarah J. Washington, El Dorado, and Mrs. Mattie Riley, Richmond, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Ward, El Dorado; 22 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Rosary will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Sims Mortuary Chapel. Graveside services will be held Thursday in Hopewell Cemetery, Dubach, La., under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Funeral cortege will leave the family's home at 1 p.m. on Thursday. (El Dorado Times -February 12, 1969)
