SHREVEPORT, LA - LTC Glenn A. Richardson, born March 5, 1914 in Moody, TX, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Glenn was a 65 year resident of Shreveport, LA. His parents were Thomas Henry and Viola D. Aerl Richardson. He graduated from Moody High School, Moody, TX in 1931 and from Texas A&M College in 1935 with a B.S. degree in Dairy Science and as a 2nd Lt. in the Army Reserves. He entered active military service in 1942 as a Horse Cavalry Man. Later he became armored. Glenn served for an extended period in the states, part of which was thirteen months as an instructor in weapons at The Cavalry School, Ft. Riley, KS. Then he served in European, African, and the Middle East. After hostilities, he was sent to Germany as part of the First Armored Division. He returned to the states and joined the Army Reserves. He served 28 years active and reserve, retiring from the 4013th as a Lt. Colonel in 1963.
