Breaux Bridge - A memorial service will be held at a later date for Roderick Martinez Sr, 41, of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana who passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Roderick loved spending quality time with his children and spoiling his two grandsons. He loved discussing the game of football and watching his beloved New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers play. He had a gift of making people laugh with his playful antics and making them smile with his delicious cooking. Roderick never met a stranger and would selflessly lend a hand to anyone in need. His smile and charismatic personality will be missed by all who had the pleasure to encounter him.
He is survived by his, Daylan Martinez, Tyrese Alexander, Jaydon Zenon and Roderick Martinez Jr; daughters, Shylah Martinez, Kadance M Philplott, Rolasia Martinez, Tyasia Martinez and Kaydance Martinez; daughters at heart, Brittany Henry and Bria Duhon; Grandsons, Brayden Alexander and Kohen Martinez; mother, Nancy Martinez; father, Kenny Tillmon; sisters Sandra Tillmon, Jalyne Landry (Jarrett), Kyndra Tillmon, Celeste Shield (Miller), Lashaundrette Coleman and Keliya Wiltz; brothers, Dominic Martinez and Kenny Tillmon Jr; his maternal grandmother and second mom Hilda Martinez; Godmother Eva Narcisse; Godfather Darren Martinez; the mothers of his children Fiancée Kayla Young, Shameca Duhon and Tawana Levy. He also leaves to cherish his beautiful memories a host of aunts, uncles, nieces; nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
He was preceded in death by daughter Ahniiya Martinez; sister Kennekia Tillmon; brother Christopher Wiltz; maternal grandfather Rogers Martinez; Paternal grandparents, Mack and Pearl Price; Godson, Trey Demouchet; and Fathers at heart, John Henry and Leroy Wiltz.
