LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church for William David Benoit, 50, who died January 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Robert Seay, OFM.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Manuela Benoit; son, Simon Lee David Benoit; stepchildren, David and Mandy Frischkorn of Germany; his parents, Wilson Pierre Benoit and Wilma Theresa (Joseph) Savoy; one brother, Mark (Spenzy) Benoit of Sunset, LA; sisters, Priscilla (Dwain) Ambrose, Driscilla Benoit, Lisa (James) Andrus, Shelia Benoit, Lisa E. Herron of Texas, Lillian Benoit; one special stepsister, Calesia Broussard of Lafayette and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Carlton James Benoit; paternal grandparents, John and Silika Benoit; maternal grandparents, George W. and Lillian Green.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at Syrie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and continue Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church from 8 am until time of service. A rosary will be recited Friday at 7 pm.
