LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Daniel Lee Benoit, Sr 52, who died August 17, 2014.

Services will be conducted by Fr Thomas James, SVD.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

He was a retired employee of SLEMCO Utilities and was employed with Crown Oil Field and Construction at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sandra Joseph Benoit of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; daughter Chassidy (Chester) Griffin of Lafayette, Louisiana; son, Daniel Lee Benoit, Jr of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; granddaughter, Ciara Griffin; mother, Cecilia Journet Benoit of Lafayette, Louisiana; one sister, Barbara Benoit St. Julien of Lafayette, Louisiana; brother, Lee Marshall Benoit of Lafayette, Louisiana; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyd Joseph and Vivian Broussard Joseph of Lafayette, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Cynthia Joseph of Lafayette, Louisiana and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by father, Marshall Joseph Benoit; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Justine Living Journet; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Augustine Breaux Benoit;brothers-in-law, Stanley "Noonie" St Julien and Robert "Yo-Yo" Green.
