Lafayette, LA - Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012, 9:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Marie Francis, 67. She will be buried in Calvary Cemetery.
Marie Francis was born April 17, 1945 to the union of the late Joseph Mentor Williams and Lena Charles Williams in Arnaudville, LA. She went home to be with the lord on Sunday, April 22, 2012.
Marie accepted Christ at an early age. She later joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Claudel T. Francis and moved to Houston, TX. To this union one child was born Scheryl Francis Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, one sister Rose Lee Senegal, one nephew Dwayne Simpson, one brother-in-law Anese Simpson.
She leaves to mourn one daughter Scheryl (Pierre) Broussard of Houston, TX; one grandson Delante Benoit of Lafayette, LA; one sister Anna Mae Simpson; four brothers: Joseph Williams, McKinley (Esther) Williams, Nelson (Amy) Williams all of Houston, TX. Herman Williams of Lafayette, LA; godfather George Cormier of Arnaudville, LA; four godchildren: Andria Williams, Erica Williams, Shanell Francis Farley, Toni & Trajih Smith, and a host of nieces, neohews, relatives and friends.
