Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Duhon funeral Home chapel of Rayne, LA for Viola Mendoza Picard, 76, who died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 in Carencro, LA.
Mrs. Picard was born January 15, 1945 in Lafayette, LA to Clouble Mendoza and Elia Trahan. She worked most of her life and retired from Albertsons. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren and she enjoyed fishing.
She is survived by 4 sons, Ray Picard of Carencro, David Picard and his wife Beverley of Breaux Bridge, Derrick Picard of Duson and Will Picard and his wife Lisa of Prairieville; 2 sisters Rita Rocca and Mary Gary both of Duson; 3 brothers Tommy Mendoza of Duson, Terry Mendoza of Duson and Roger Trahan of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren Ray Picard, Misty Dugas, Terin Gary, Shane Picard, Aaron Cheesman, Victor Ray Picard, Bayleigh Marie Picard, Zachary Picard, Mallary Picard and Lindsey Picard and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Audris Picard; 1 son Greg Picard; 1 granddaughter Brooklyn Neil Picard; 2 great grandchildren; 1 sister Zena Trahan and a brother Larry Mendoza.
