A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014, 1:00 PM, St Paul Catholic Church for Ms Alice M Dugas, 87. She will be buried in Calvary Cemetery. Fr Robert Seay will be the celebrant.

Left to cherish her memory are children Daisy Shelvin (Joseph “Tessie”), Carolyn Dugas (Israel), Debra Sampy, and John Dugas Jr (Dana); grandchildren Kevin Shelvin (Roxanne), Drucilla Simpson, Kirklyn Ford Sr. (Wendy), Danielle Shelvin (Travis), Lawrence Dugas (Kacie), Jazmine Faulk (Rochelle), Jamal Dugas (Goshlyn), Tynisha Williams (Richard), Johnetta Batiste (Terry), Douglas Dugas (Nya), Chastity Shelvin, and Jasper Dugas; 31 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband John D Dugas, Sr, parents Joseph and Alphonsine Faulk Mouton; son Kenneth James Dugas; granddaughter Collette Dugas; sister, Theresa Celestine; and brother-in-law, Forest Celestine

Viewing will be Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 8:00AM until the time of service St. Paul Catholic Church.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at River Oaks Retirement Manor, and Lafayette General Medical Center: ICU, 3rd Floor and 5th Floor staff.

Kinchen Funeral Home, Inc., of Lafayette is In charge of final arrangements.
