Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Robert Charles Foreman, 53, who died on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Reverend Steve LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his mother, Alice Gaspard Foreman; four siblings, Rose Diaz (Boo), Ann Miller (Glenn), Rogers Foreman and Kathleen Suire; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Foreman; one infant sister, Kathy Ann Foreman; maternal grandparents, Amedie and Agnes Gaspard; and his paternal grandparents, Oran Foreman and Celestine Gaspard.
A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Robert Foreman was a special needs individual who attended school at New Hope and the Johnny Scott Center. He loved taking rides in the car and sitting outside visiting with his friends at Village Du Lac. Robert Foreman will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE Lafayette location on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Lafayette General Medical Center for their compassionate care, also to Robert's caregivers and the staff of Medical Advantage. Special thanks to Troy Abshire and Richard Landry with O.C.D.D.
