Charles Dixon enlisted May 14, 1862, at Many, Louisiana. On November 3, 1863, his battalion was consolidated with the Crescent Regiment Louisiana Infantry and the 16th Battalion Louisiana Infantry to become the Consolidated Crescent Regiment Louisiana Infantry.
