Marie Louise Lemarié Greve passed away peacefully after brief illness on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas A. Greve as well as 13 nieces and nephews, Dr. Kent Lemarié, Janetanne Lemarié Mears, Jimmie Lemarié, Larry Lemarié, Russell Lemarié, Clare Lemarié Guilbault, Charlotte Lemarié Noto, Mignon Lemarié Treuting , Rhea Lemarié Gonczi, Paul Lemarié, Michael M. Achary, David Achary, and Anne Achary Kramer, and cousin Dorothy Ann Greve. Marie was preceded in death by her brothers, M. Kent Lemarié, S.L. Lemarié, sister, Lorraine Lemarié Achary and nephew René Lemarié. Marie (Mickey) was a life-long resident of New Orleans and a devoted member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy and attended Soule business academy. Mickey worked for Exxon for over 30 years until her retirement in 1986. In 1951 Mickey joined the Beta Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and cherished her time spent with her sorority sisters. Mickey was a devout and active member of the Rose Petals and St. Vincent Guild. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 3368 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70119 on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit the church after 11:30 am. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery.
