Thomas A. Greve passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Thursday, March 29 at the age of 92. Tom is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Marie Louise Lemarié Greve. He was the son of the late Samuel and Mae Greve. Tom is also preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Greve. Tom is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families, Michael Achary, David Achary, Anne Achary Kramer, Jimmie Lemarié, Larry Lemarié, Russell Lemarié, Claire Lemarié Guilbault, Charlotte Lemarié Noto, Mignon Lemarié Treuting, Rhea Lemarié Gonczi, Paul Lemarié, Dr. Kent Lemarié, Janetanne Lemarié Mears, and cousin Dorothy Ann Greve. Tom is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Lorraine Lemarié Achary, brother-in-law Michael A. Achary, and nephew René Lemarié.

Tom was a life-long resident of New Orleans, a devoted member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, and an active member of the St. Vincent Guild. He graduated from Jesuit High School. Tom was a WWII Naval Veteran, proudly having served in the Pacific Theater. Tom retired from Sears and gave many volunteer hours to St. Vincent de Paul Society of our Lady of the Rosary, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, The National World War II Museum, and The New Orleans Museum of Art. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff of Canon Hospice for their compassionate care.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 3368 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70119 on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit the church after 10:00 am. Internment will be in Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred or donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Our Lady of the Rosary.
