Funeral services for Ella Mae Bailey will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Lapine Assembly of God. Rev. Gene Benson and Rev. Joel Brackett will officiate. Interment will follow at Lapine Assembly of God Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, August 24, 2020 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home ~ West Monroe.
Ella Mae went to be with Jesus on August 22, 2020 with her family by her side. She was 104 years, 11 months and 4 days. Ella Mae was a proud mother of 6 children. Her greatest love was the relationship she had with her Savior, and her children. All of her children were proud to call her Mom. She always had a servant’s heart. Ella Mae welcomed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and all others into her home. God only knows how many people she has witnessed to, fed, clothed, and prayed for. Ella Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Bailey; daughter, Margie Henson; great-granddaughter, Madison Henson; son-in-law, Bobby E. Smith; daughter-in-law, Elaine Bailey; granddaughter-in-law, Angela Bailey; brothers, Jessie Tisdale, David Tisdale and James Tisdale; sisters Bertie Foster, Thelma Dell and Elaine Purcell.
Ella Mae is survived by her sons, Jimmy Bailey, Daniel Bailey and wife Sue, Dean Bailey and wife Shelley; daughters, Martha Smith, Ruth Dowdy and husband Wayne; grandsons, Denver Bailey, Mark Bailey, Tony Dowdy and wife Rhonda, George Henson and wife Cheryl, Tim Henson and wife Lorrie; granddaughters, Joan Scott and husband Earl, April Shipp and husband Allen, Amy Lenard and husband Kelby, Ashley Freeman and husband Brian, Gail VanDenLangenberg and husband Gene, Kristi Tollett and husband Roland, Tammy Dicks, Kathy Henson; sister-in-law, Bobbie Tisdale; 24 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren; many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tony Dowdy, George Henson, Logan Scott, Landan Bailey, Kelby Lenard, and Chase Lenard.
