BOGALUSA - William Thomas "Tom" Havard, 60, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Bogalusa for 21 years, died yesterday in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired supervisor for Bell South.
Survivors include four daughters, Sherri Havard-Gabriel of Baton Rouge, Sandra Rester of Bogalusa, Susan McLain and her husband Brett of Covington, and Stacie Vining of Amite; three sisters, Barbara Bingham and her husband, Bing of Slidell, Joyce Adams and her husband, John of McNeill, MS, and Cindi Stockstill and her husband, Shirley of Slidell; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gaydell Havard; his parents, Bill and Doris Felter Havard; and a brother, Sonny Havard.
Visitation will be held today from 5-10 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. A chapel funeral service will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas Havard officiating. Interment will follow in Poplarhead Cemetery near Franklinton.

Died December 19, 1999

BOGALUSA - Gaydell Husfield Havard, age 51, died at her daughter's residence in Bogalusa. A native of Picayune, she had been a resident of McNeil for the past four years. Visitation will be today from 5-10 p.m. at the Brown-McGeehee Funeral Home, continuing tomorrow after 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
She is survived by her husband, William Thomas Havard of McNeil; four daughters, Sherri Gabriel of Bay St. Louis, Sandra Rester of Bogalusa, Susan McLain of Covington and Stacie Vining of Amite; three sisters-in-law, Cindy Stockstill of Slidell, Bobbie Bingham of Slidell and Joyce Adams of McNeil; two brothers, Charles Hermann of Hazelhurst
and Rodney Hermann of Picayune; and 12 grandchildren.
