William Thomas 'Tom' Havard
(Died Sept. 12, 2002)
BOGALUSA - William Thomas "Tom" Havard, 60, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Bogalusa for 21 years, died yesterday in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired supervisor for Bell South.
Survivors include four daughters, Sherri Havard-Gabriel of Baton Rouge, Sandra Rester of Bogalusa, Susan McLain and her husband Brett of Covington, and Stacie Vining of Amite; three sisters, Barbara Bingham and her husband, Bing of Slidell, Joyce Adams and her husband, John of McNeill, MS, and Cindi Stockstill and her husband, Shirley of Slidell; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gaydell Havard; his parents, Bill and Doris Felter Havard; and a brother, Sonny Havard.
Visitation will be held today from 5-10 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. A chapel funeral service will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas Havard officiating. Interment will follow in Poplarhead Cemetery near Franklinton.
