BOGALUSA - Elma Lupo James, 86, a resident of Bogalusa for over 60 years died Saturday at the LSU Washington-St. Tammany Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Monroe Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Patsy and Ronnie Ainsworth of Atlanta,Texas; a son and daughter-in-law Alton and Kathleen James of Mansfield; a brother Elson Lupo of Counce, TN; and seven grandchildren: Steven Ainsworth of Arlington,Texas; Kellea and Paul Baker of Texarkana, AR; Amy and Mike Robertson of Atlanta, Texas; Judy and David Hazelwood of Atlanta, Texas, Alton "Sonny" James Jr. and Suzanne James of Baton Rouge; Kathy and Joe Allen of Denver, CO; and Lori and James Strange of Stonewall, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. James and her parents William Robert Lupo and Willie Anna Smith Lupo.
Visitation was at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home yesterday from 5-9 p.m. and continues this morning at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the chapel funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. James Broadwater will officiate. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
