A graveside funeral service for Margie V. James will be held at Springhill Cemetery in Franklinton on Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. Daniel Appling will be officiating. Mrs. James, age 75, died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, after a long illness. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Villa Rica, Ga. She retired after 30 years of service with the Baton Rouge Police Department where she worked as an accountant. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, William Don James; a brother, Donald Voth, Pineville; daughter, Glynda DeLaughter Anderson, married to Ben W. Anderson Jr., Douglasville, Ga.; son, Glynn DeLaughter, married to Cindy Jeffers DeLaughter, Zachary; and four grandchildren, Christy Anderson Appling, Hammond, Ind., Alyson Anderson Holt and Andy Anderson, both of Douglasville, and Rae Anna DeLaughter, Zachary. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Jesse, Aaron and Anna Appling, all of Hammond, Ind., and Amber and Addyson Holt, both of Douglasville. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Willetta Voth Rester, Lela Voth Babin, Dorothy Voth LeBert and Ruby Voth; and brothers, Cecil Voth and Robert Voth. Pallbearers will be Dewey Mizell, Jo Ed Calloway, Ben Anderson, Andy Anderson, Daniel Appling and Robbie Holt.
