April 17, 1935 - September 16, 2005
William Lavon Crain, age 70, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Bogalusa, died Friday, Sept. 16 at the Louisiana Heart Hospital in Lacombe LA. A member of Edgewood Baptist Church, he was a pipefitter and retired after more than 30 years service at the Gaylord Paper Mill.
He is survived by a step-son, Bruce Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Dell Crain.
Visitation was held Saturday, Sept. 17 in Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m., with Masonic rites by Center Lodge, F&AM.
Visitation continued on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. until time for the funeral service at 4 p.m.in the chapel.
Rev. Curtis Epnett and Rev. Kelly Penton officiated, with interment following in Ponemah Cemetery.
