February 15, 1938 - January 3, 2000
BOGALUSA - Curtis Stanford Sumrall, age 61, died yesterday at St Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was a member of Lee's Creek Baptist Church, Center Lodge No. 244, F&AM,a veteran of the US Navy and the Louisiana National Guard, and a retired Captain for the Bogalusa Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife Willie Mae DeLaughter Sumrall, Bogalusa; son William Stanford Sumrall, Bogalusa; daughter Shan S Miley, Bogalusa; sisters Dorothy Sumrall McGinnis,Plaquemine and Carolyn Sumrall Barlow, Baton Rouge; brother-in-law, Kenneth Barlow, Baton Rouge; sister-in-law, Iva Sumrall, Bogalusa; grandchildren Ryan Scott Miley, William Stanford Sumrall Jr, and Bryan Anthony Miley, all of Bogalusa; step-grandchildren, Brandy Smith and Jeremy Dillon, and step-great-grandchildren, Nathan Smith and Devin Smith, all ofBogalusa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lozie Sumrall; brother Ray Sumrall and sister Elvie Summers.
