Larry J. Stringfield
A resident of Pearl River, he went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 24, 2007. He was born August 22, 1939, to Noel and Inez Stringfield in Bogalusa. Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Glenda Penton Stringfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Michael Rivet, of Victoria, Texas and Alison and Kenneth Alsett, of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana; grandsons, Wade Rivet, Hayden Alsett and Connor Alsett; granddaughter, Ashtyn Rivet; sisters Avis Stringfield and Jeri LeBlanc; and brother, Clifton Stringfield. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry was retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service and the US Department of Agriculture after 12 years. Funeral service will be held Monday, August 27, at 10:30 am from the chapel of D T Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Louisiana 41, Pearl River, 70452. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, August 26, was from 4:30 pm to 8 pm Visitation resumes on Monday from 9 am until service. Interment to follow at McHehee Cemetery in Bogalusa.
