Vick Adrian Stringfield, Age 76 and a resident of Franklinton, Louisiana went to be with his Lord at 3:30 pm Tuesday July 14, 2009 at St Tammany Parish Hospital. Mr Stringfield was a graduate of Franklinton High School and Mr FHS in 1951. He was a Louisiana Star Dairy Farmer of the FFA during that time, later owning and operating his own dairy for 35 years. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War stationed on the USS Valley Forge. Mr Stringfield was a retired cable repair man with Bell South and he served as a Justice of the Peace in Washington Parish for 28 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton and an ordained deacon and also an active member of the Senior Adult Choir and Merry Hearts. He was married for 58 years and was always a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survived by Wife Merle Hoggatt Stringfield of Franklinton, Daughters and Sons in Law Cheryl and Bill Wood of Collierville, Tennessee, Angela and Chip McVea of Franklinton; Son and Daughter in law Robert and Josette Stringfield of Franklinton; Grandchildren Kelly and Tim Woodard Andrew Wood who is currently serving with the US Air Force in Afghanistan, Jim and Chelsea Stringfield; Jacob and Seth McVea; Great-grand children Sarah, Drew and Jacob Woodard; Brother and sister in law Ashley and Frankie Stringfield of Franklinton; Brother in law and sister in law Fred and Josie Hoggatt of Frankliton; Niece and Nephews Linda Day, Brent Hoggatt and Barry Stringfield. He was preceded in death by his parents Denman and Mamie Fisher Stringfield and sister Earline Stringfield.

If anyone wishes to contribute memorial donations, the family asks that they be given in honor to the First Baptist Church Building Fund

Pallbearers were Barry Stringfield, Don Bateman, Brent Hoggatt, Tim Woodard, Jim Stringfield, Jacob McVea, Seth McVea. Honorary Pallbearers were Justices of the Peace and Constables of Washington Parish.
