November 25, 1887 - August 3, 1929
Dr. John Harvey Stringfield, son of Mrs. William Stringfield and the late William Stringfield, died August 1st in Magee, Miss., at the age of 41 years, 8 months, and 6 days. He was born and reared in this community and married Vera Guy of Tylertown on October, 1911. Besides his widow, 1 daughter, 6 years old, mother, 4 brothers, D.H. of Washington Parish, Prof. Edward of this parish, Dr. Victor of New Mexico, B. of Washington Parish, 3 sisters, Mrs. W.H. Burns of Monticello, Miss., Mrs. Nancy Singletary of West, La. and Miss Brownie Stringfield of Tangipahoa. Mrs. Stringfield's 3 brothers attended the funeral, Monroe of Picayune, Henry of Kokomo, and Howard Guy of Angie.
