Rev. Dr. William Earl Warren, Jr., born July 11, 1930, age 77 and a resident of Franklinton died at 7:30 PM Friday, January 18, 2008 at his residence.
He served in the ministry for 52 years having pastored at Thomas First Baptist and Pine First Baptist Churches. He also served as pastor at Esler Field Baptist Church in Tioga, LA; Oak Hill Baptist Church in Many and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Osyka. While in the Air Force, he served as a chaplain. He was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church at Mt. Hermon. He also enjoyed a career in education having taught mainly in the St. Tammany Parish Schools until his retirement.
Survived by: Wife: Jo Ann Maxey Warren of Franklinton 2 Sons: Kenneth Wayne Warren of Minden, LA Doug Jones of Houston 3 Daughters: Sharon Kay Golden of Elm Grove, LA Elien Powell of Wichita,Kan. Patricia Stanley of Shreveport 1 Brother: Joseph S. Warren of Franklinton 1 Sister: Betty Jo McCormick also of Franklinton 16 Grandchildren and 20 Great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents William Earl, Sr. and Minuel Morris Warren; Brother John Ira Warren.
Arrangements entrusted to Crain Funeral Home.
Burial in the Ellis Cemetery.
