Robert Jerry Johnson, Age 81 and a resident of Mt Hermon died Tuesday afternoon April 23, 2019 at North Oaks Medical Center. He was a United States Air Force veteran that served during the Korean War Era. Jerry was a longtime dairyman that later raised beef cattle. He loved watching and tending to his cows every day, even late in life, as long as his health allowed. Jerry was also the owner/operator of several businesses over the years, including Johnson’s Hardware in Franklinton, Louisiana and Bamboo Steak and Fish House in Kentwood, Louisiana .

Survived by Sisters Margaret Holiday of Franklinton, Louisiana Bobbie Verret of Jeanerette, Louisiana; Brothers Frank Johnson,
T-Ninety Johnson, Rayford Johnson; also numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Jerry Johnson, II, father Odnia Johnson, mother Thelma Morris Tinsley, brother O J Johnson, sisters Shirley Johnson, Betty J Smith, brother in law James Holiday and nephew Jamie Holiday.
Pallbearers were Chuck Wilkes, Brody Wilkes, David James, Ronnie Johnson, Phil McGehee, Frank Johnson, T-Ninety Johnson, Rayford Johnson.
