Burris, William "Bill" Hood died Tuesday, December 7, 1993, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond, Louisiana. He was 70, a native of Franklinton, Louisiana and a resident of Hammond. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, 6-10 pm Wednesday and 8 a. until religious services at the funeral home chapel at 1 pm Thursday, conducted by the Rev Charles Humphreys. Interment in Ellis Cemetery, Franklinton. Survived by wife, Josie Alack Burris, Hammond; sons, William "Bill" Hood Burris II, Hammond and Will James Burris, Fort Walton Beach, Florida; brother James M Burris, Franklinton; sister Josephine Burris White, Bogalusa, Louisiana; and granddaughter Brooke Ashley Burris, Fort Walton Beach. Preceded in death by parents, Will James & Nina Hood Burris.
