Robert N "Bobby" Burris, 78, a resident of Franklinton,Louisiana died Thursday at 5 pm at Riverside Medical Center. He was a pharmacy technician employed for many years at Babington's Drug Store and most recently at Forshags Drugs in Franklinton.
He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Latimore Passman Post No. 7196 of the
VFW. A licensed watchmaker, he was a member of Franklinton First Baptist Church and the A W Robbins Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife, Keitha Casnaova Burris of Franklinton; two sons and daughters-in- law, Nathan Kevin and Melanie Burris of Mandeville and Richard Mark and Monika
Burris of Wilmington, Deleware; a daughter, Kimberly Marie Burris of Franklinton; five grandchildren Rachel, Dustin, Darin and Douglas Burris and Brandon Close; and sister, Hida S Mayer of Colonia, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Burris and Gladys Bateman Burris Stafford.
Visitation was held at Crain Funeral Home yesterday from 6-9 pm and will continue today until the funeral at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Bro Jim Bain will officiate and burial will be in the Ellis Cemetery.
