Lorene Boyter, 92, of Vivian, LA passed away October 12, 2017. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vivian officiated by Rev. Al Vandyke. There will be a visitation staring at 2 pm at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, with procession to the cemetery to follow.
Mrs. Boyter was born October 2, 1925 in Andalusia, AL and lived most of her life in Vivian. She was a member of the Vivian United Methodist Church. She worked as a nurse at North Caddo Medical, and she was and outgoing person who loved to socialize with people.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Elba Lawson, and her 2 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her 4 children; Bill Boyter and wife Patricia of Rodessa, LA, Darlene Wells and husband Gary of Shreveport, LA, Mike Boyter of Vivian, LA, and Jerry Boyter and wife Vicki of Vivian, LA, her 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her special adopted daughters Patricia McDaniel Boyter and Margaret Dunlap and numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
The family would like to thank her granddaughter Jeri Hartzo, who was her nurse at the Glen where she lived these past few years, for taking such good care of their mother.
