Jerry Wayne Boyter, 64 of Vivian, Louisiana passed away on August 23, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at McLeod Tabernacle in McLeod, Texas officiated by Rev J P Story. Burial will follow at Vivian Cemetery in Vivian, Louisiana. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 PM on Saturday the 25th at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, Louisiana.

Jerry was born January 5, 1954 in Vivian, Louisianato Joseph Paige and Lorene Boyter. He lived in this area all of his life and was a member of the McLeod Tabernacle. Jerry worked in the oil field since the age of 14, where he became an independent oil producer. He loved to deer hunt and enjoyed collecting cars. He also loved good food and loved to eat. He was a great story teller and loved to entertain his family. Most of all he loved his grandkids, and loved spending time with them.

Jerry is preceded in death by parents Joseph Paige and Lorene Boyter and son-in-law Doug Green. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Vicki Boyter, three children Jeri Hartzo and husband Kevin of Vivian, Louisiana, Brandy Nelms and husband Craig of Vivian, Louisiana and Brooke Boyter of Vivian, Louisiana, two brothers and one sister, Darlene Wells. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Logan Boyter, Kelly Whatley, Dakota Whatley, Bitty Green, Beaux Green, Wyatt Nelms, and Tori Nelms.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Whatley, John Young, Mose Browning, Sam Curry, Craig Nelms, and Kevin Hartzo. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Nelms, Beaux Green, and Curtis Davis.

The family would like to thank Dr Houston Bosley and his staff for their great care, we also would like to thank, W K Hospice especially Nurse Colette Murray, Rev J P Story, Mechelle Couch, and Serina Green.
