April 11, 1917 - September 7, 2000
Carey "Bo" Thigpen, 83, of Franklinton, formerly of Baton Rouge, died today at Lakeview Regional Medical Center of Covington. Born in Franklinton, he lived in Baton Rouge for 40 years as a supervisor at Dixie Electric Corporation in Baton Rouge until he retired to Franklinton. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Thigpen; daughter, Wanzie Morgan of Covington, son-in-law, Paul Morgan; three grandchildren, John and Jennifer Morgan of Ruston, Stacey and Kenny Fletcher of Harrisburg, PA, and David Morgan of Dallas, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Maggie and Molly Morgan of Ruston, LA, and Ashley and Kelly Fletcher of Harrisburg, PA.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 6-9 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home and will continue Saturday at 12:30 until time for service at 2 p.m. The Rev. John Gilbert will officiate the service.
Burial will be in the Magee Springhill Cemetery. Crain Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
