Alphus Tullos Thipgen, 91, a resident of the Springhill Community, died Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Verne Creel of Franklinton; five grandchildren, Sherri Thomassen, Janet Carter, Barry Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, and Bradley Jenkins; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Thigpen and a daughter, Ruby Jenkins.
Visitation will be today at Crain Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow in the Springhill-Magee Cemetery.
Crain Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
