Daughter of Hugh Jackson and Valeria Richardson Penton
Died 2 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 1987, at her residence in Baton Rouge. She was 77, a native of Franklinton . She was a retired Goudchaux employee. Visiting at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton , 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Gary Penton. Interment in Magee- Springhill Cemetery , near Franklinton . Survived by four sisters, Mrs. Joyce Voth, Gloster, Miss., Mrs. Carol Lard, Denham Springs, Mrs. Johnny (Nelda) Norton and Mrs. T.W. (Tena) Elkins, both of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Hardy J. Penton, Pride, and Earl Penton, Franklinton ; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh J. Penton; two sisters, Pauline and Lucille Penton; and a brother, Martin Penton. Pallbearers will be nephews. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Baton Rouge.
