Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Hedge will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 6, 2016 in the chapel at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA. Rev. Cecil Herrington and Rev. Joey Kennedy will officiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.
Dot was born on November 15, 1939 in West Row, England and passed away after a brief illness on June 3, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of West heights Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Dot was preceded in death by her husband, William Hedge and her parents, Kenneth and Ethel Abrey.
Dot is survived by her three children, Debra Hite (Terry), Crystal Brasher (Jerry), and Mark Hedge (Lacy); six grandchildren, Amanda Wheelis (Patrick), Teri Ann Herrington (David), Colby Hedge, Nancy Hedge, Morgan Brasher, and Alex Brasher; five great-grandchildren, Blake, Christian, and Anna Kay Wheelis, Lydia Manley, and Ridge Boyett; three step grandchildren, Amanda Boyett (Lee), James Jones, and Austin Herrington; two brothers, Ray Abrey (Janet) and Dennis Abrey (Jean).
Pallbearers will be Terry Hite, Jerry Brasher, Colby Hedge, Patrick Wheelis, Alex Brasher, And Blake Wheelis. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Wheelis and David Herrington.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
