Funeral services for William L Hedge, 71 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Bro Cecil E Herrington will officiate. Interment to follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens West Monroe, LA.
Mr Hedge was born June 8, 1937 in Crossett, Arkansas and passed away December 29, 2008 in West Monroe, LA. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a heavy equipment salesman for over 44 years with Barnhart Crane. Mr. Hedge was a member of West Heights Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and will be remembered as a loyal and dedicated man to his family friends and work. Mr. Hedge was a kind and gentle man that left a warm impression. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Lily Hedge; a sister, Virginia Jones and a brother, J. T. Hedge.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Dot Hedge; daughters, Debra Hite and husband Terry, Crystal Brasher and husband Jerry; son, Mark Hedge; grandchildren; Amanda Wheelis and husband Patrick, Teri Ann Herrington and husband David, Morgan and Alex Brasher, Colby and Nancy Hedge; great-grandchildren, Blake, Christian and Anna Kay Wheelis, Austin Herrington; sister, Rose Kennedy; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Pallbearers will be Harvey Roberts, Jeff Taylor, Steve Taylor, Jim Diel, Shawn Diel and Shannon Barnell.
Honorary pallbearers Billy Stover, William Taylor, Ronnie Naron, Tommy Holmes and Jessie Johnson.
Visitation will be held Tueday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
