Funeral service for Iva Brazzel, age 89, of Ruston, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 11, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Wasson officiating the service. Interment will follow in Pines Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brazzel was born April 29, 1926 in Hico, LA and died January 7, 2016 in Ruston, LA. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ruston. Mrs. Brazzel is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Campbell Brazzel and son, Jerry Brazzel.
She is survived by her children: Albert Brazzel and wife Kathy, Sherwood Brazzel and wife Brenda, Sarah Brazzel Mills and husband Mike, and daughter-in-law, Dinah Brazzel; grandchildren: Albert Brazzel, Jr., April Brazzel Winstead, Stephanie Brazzel, Chelle Brazzel Brown, Christopher Brazzel, Brandon Brazzel, Corey Mills, Olivia Mills, Rachel Mills; great-grandchildren: Kristina Brazzel, Hunter Caskey, Morgan Winstead, Garrett Hood, Chloe Mae Winstead, Emmalee Brazzel, Delanee Brazzel, Jackson Brazzel, Bennett Brown, Laurel Cate Brown, Jack Mills; brother, Norman McClung; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Herman “Mac” McClung, Jr., Keith McClung, Albert Brazzel, Jr., Scott Winstead, Chad Brown, and Christopher Brazzel.
