A survey done by Jane McManus in 2000 says there was a slab on top of the grave that read " H.J. Scoggins-1892 & L.H. Scoggins-1886, C.H. Westmoreland & Betty Jean Burns, June 1954. The slab was placed here on June 26, 1954." I could feel the slab, but had no way of cleaning it off.
