Inscription on front of Headstone Wife of W.M.(Wilson Mitchell) Scoggins. On back A Loving Mother and a Faithful Wife. Henry Joseph Scoggins and Lawrence Hillery Scoggins sons of Rebecca Cooper Scoggins. Clay Hillery Westmoreland a grandson,& Betty Jean Burns a great granddaughter. A survey done by Jane McManus in 2000 says there was a slab on top of the grave that read " H.J. Scoggins-1892 & L.H. Scoggins-1886, C.H. Westmoreland & Betty Jean Burns, June 1954. The slab was placed here on 26 June 1954." I could feel the slab, but had no way of cleaning it off. She was the mother of Mitchell K. Scoggins b: 10 Feb 1888 in Louisiana, Austin F. Scoggins b: 5 Dec 1889 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, Henry Joseph Scoggins b: 23 Sep 1892 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, Lawrence Hillery Scoggins b: 5 Jan 1895 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, Annie N. (Susie) Scoggins b: Sep 1897 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, Hurlin Scoggins, Missouri A. E. Scoggins.
