Otis Dale Gann Sr.
A lifelong resident of Bogalusa, he died Saturday evening, Sept. 15, 2007, at his residence at the age of 75 surrounded by his wife and children.
In Bogalusa, he was a member of Union Baptist Church and Center Masonic lodge. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of American Legion Post 24 of Bogalusa. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Bogalusa with 35 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Melba Jones Gann; son and daughter-in-law, Otis Dale Gann Jr. and Kim Spillman Gann, of Watson; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Williams and Barry Manuel, of Bogalusa; five grandchildren, Misti Wolbrecht, of Daphne, Ala., Donald and wife Stacia Manuel, of Fort Bragg, N.C., David and wife Ashley Gann, of Fort Sill, Okla., Shane Gann, of Sacramento, Calif., and Derek Gann, of Watson; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Manuel, Taylor Gann and Nathan Gann; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Zula Mizell Gann; and brother, James E. Gann.
Funeral service at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home chapel, 610 Avenue F, Bogalusa, on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Kevin Arinder officiating. Interment in Ponemah cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 24. Information: (985) 732-7155.

January 29, 1932 - December 26, 2016

Daughter of Luther L and Vanda Irene Jones.

She was preceded by her beloved husband Otis Dale Gann Sr., a brother Harold Jones, and 2 sisters Edna Earl Wood and Edia Merle Harris.

She was a member of the Union Heritage Baptist Church and retired after 43 years as a hairdresser.
