FRANKLINTON -- Roy M. McCain Sr. age 86, a resident of Franklinton, died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday, June 22, in Riverside Medical Center.
He was a retired employee of Crown Zellerbach Corp. and a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Roy Jr. and Hazel Ann McCain and the Rev. Terry and Barbara McCain, all of Franklinton; one daughter, Diane McCain of Franklinton; a daughter-in-law, Gilda S. McCain of Franklinton; grandchildren, Kellie McCain, Lisa McCain, Leigh Ann Stafford, Emily Stafford, Lynette Bryant, Jana Brooks, Courtney Seals Freeman, Scott Creel, Andy Creel and Jody Brady; great-grandchildren: Marissa, Mallory, Jared, Grayden, Patrick, Lindsey, Lydia, Kaylie, Riley, Bailey, Lana, Jerrand, Sydney, Tyier and Aaron LeVaughn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Boone McCain; and a son, LeVaughn J. McCain.
Visitation was held Friday, June 23 at Crain Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m., and continued after 8 a.m. Saturday, June 24.
The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry McCain, Rev. Tommy Morgan and Rev. D. E. Maricelli officiating. Burial followed in the Morris Cemetery.
