STRINGFIELD, ELMA JENKINS Wife of Dr David Harrison Stringfield Sr
Died 4:45 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 1990, at Riverside Medical Center, Franklinton. She was 94, a native and resident of Franklinton. Visiting at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by Dr. Jerry Barlow. Interment in Ellis Cemetery . Survived by four daughters, Mrs. James E. (Betty) Wilcomb, Baton Rouge, Mrs. W.G. (Dorothy) Bazar, Mrs. Charles L. (Eloise) Lobdell and Mrs. Robert J. (Frances) Toney, all of Franklinton; two sons, David H.Stringfield Jr., Bogalusa, and William R. "Bill" Stringfield, Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Veda Brumfield, Franklinton; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, David H. Stringfield Sr.; and a daughter, Margaret Banner. She was a member of Franklinton First Baptist Church and WMU. She was past worthy matron of Noble Queen Chapter No. 45 of Order of Eastern Star, and served as district deputy and past grand matron of Louisiana.
