George W. Snearly, 45, of Strong, died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday in a Shreveport hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. James Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Laran Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, La. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Erlene Snearly of Strong; his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Albert Snearly of Spearsville; four daughters, Mrs. James Upshaw of Ruston, La., Mrs. G. W. Nale and Mrs. Sandra Lee, both of Crossett and Mrs. Max Nale of Truxno, La.; two brothers, Grady K. Snearly of El Dorado and Glen Snearly of Porter, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Nell Romie of Cary, Ill.; and nine grandchildren. (The El Dorado Times - February 26, 1965)
