From Louisiana Archives ~ Davis, A B (also Davis, Abner G), Private Company A 28th (Gray's) Louisiana Infantry. Enlisted May 14, 1863, Monroe, Louisiana. Federal Rolls of Prisoners of War show him captured at Franklin, Louisiana, April 14, 1863. In Hospital Boat. Sent to New Orleans, Louisiana, to be exchanged & paroled below Port Hudson, Louisiana, May 11, 1863.
