Funeral services for Mr. Chandler Knight, 64, of Sarepta, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 9, at the chapel of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home in Farmerville with the Rev. Terral Lowe officiating. Interment followed in Bird's Chapel Cemetery in Truxno under the direction of Kilpatrick's. Mr. Knight died last Saturday at Confederate Memorial Hospital in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. A native of Springhill, he was an oil field worker. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Knight of Sarepta; one son, Frank Knight of Truxno; two brothers, Guy Knight of Springhill and Daniel D. Knight of Tacoma, Washington; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Johnnie Ray Knight, James Modisette, Glen Nale, Connie Ray Alford, Larry Carmier and Ardis Hanson.
